This certain kind of occupation can be very dangerous to the health of the individual and even to their customers and clients, that is primarily because they are dealing with the electrical systems and in order to avoid any undesirable or tragic events to happen, the electrician needs to learn the basic skills and knowledge with regards to the electrical system and training is a must. Some electricians are working independently, but there are also others that are working under the guidance of a general contractor, may it be a firm or an individual, and they are more specialized when it comes to the design, installation, maintenance or any other construction work related to the electrical systems. The major types of work of electrical contractor are divided into three parts, namely the inside, which includes the services of providing electricity to the structures that are found within the property like outdoor lightings and substations, and the outside or line electrical contractors who are the ones responsible for the transmission and distribution of the lines of high voltages. And the third major type of work of the electrical contractors is what they called as integrated building systems or IBS and they work specifically on low-voltage installations such as energy-efficient lighting, security systems, climate control, back-up power, wireless network, fiber optics and telecommunications.
